Sustainable Events

There's an ever increasing emphasis on sustainability, and the events industry is not immune to this.
We are seeing more and more clients interested in CSR and taking part in sustainable events.
We at Seriously Cool are a market leader in providing bespoke sustainable event options to suit all clients.
Seriously Cool Events can also be Seriously Sustainable!

The issue clients usually have with sustainable events is ideas! So, we have put together a handy list of our favourite top 10 sustainable events.

10) Dragon Boat racing

In number 10 we have Dragon boat racing - a super fan team building event on the water. Most importantly powered by the participants!

9) Treasure hunt

Number 9 we've got Ipad treasure hunts - these can be hosted almost anywhere. A local team building challenge that takes your guests on a journey to find the treasure. Our standard (and most eco friendly) option is to do this on foot, with Ipads so no paper required!

8) Mind reading event

A unique event ideal as an ice breaker or for evening entertainment. Very much at the forefront of our sustainable entertainment range, this can be tailored to be completely carbon neutral.

7) terrarium making

In 7th place we have terrarium making - a chance to create your very own habitat. Talk about being one with nature! Although of course you' be using materials such as glass to house the terrarium, we believe that the mini ecosystem created as a result far outweighs this. A very purpose driven well-being event.

6) drumming event

Number 6 needs no introduction - African drumming. Great as an ice breaker and really gets a group going! These drums are very sturdy and last years and years, so plenty of music to come from them!

5) brass class

Brass class sneaking into number 5 - usually for less people than drumming, slightly giving the sustainable edge when considering travel emissions. Brass class is a well worth-while challenge and provides something different and fun, yet sustainable.

4) Motivational guest speaker

In number 4 it is another of our conference style events, designed to inspire and motivate. The beauty being that the additional emission output is virtually non-existent. A perfect addition to a conference to really make teams think.

3) pitchside pimms/ THIRSTY thursday

As we enter the top 3 we bring out the big guns. Our "thirsty thursday' events are a real hit - watch local polo with a drink or two in hand. An exciting yet tranquil morning/ afternoon event in summer. Very sustainable as the entertainment is horse powered!

2) big picture

On of our absolute favourite events is Big Picture. This gives your team an opportunity to really pull together to create something beautiful. The usual outcome of this event is to hand the completed artwork in the office, serving as a lasting reminder of teamwork for years to come.

1) Fireside polo

And finally our top spot - Fireside polo. This is an Autumn/ winter event, similar to thirsty Thursdays, but we move into the arena. The entertainment is faster paced, with less players on the pitch, this of course improves sustainability even further and therefore claims the title of the most sustainable team building event!

Want to do more? We are happy to offer a range of options to offset against carbon emissions. We have several partnerships in place to facilitate this - talk to us about the best option for you. Let's make the world a better place!
