Modern challenges, ancient genius.
Five hundred years ago, Leonardo da Vinci filled his notebooks with machines the world had never seen. The Chimes of Da Vinci hands your team his secrets, one locked puzzle at a time. Crack them, earn the blueprints and build something remarkable before the clock runs out.
Every team builds its own part of the chimes, and no team can finish alone. It all comes together in one final moment, when the chimes ring out and the whole room realises what they have created together. It is problem solving team building at its most rewarding, and a brilliant fit for away days, leadership teams and conferences, for 8 to 40 people in one to two hours, at your office or venue anywhere in the UK.

Build the chimes
Teams bring their blueprints to life, building their own section of the chimes against the clock.

What is The Chimes of Da Vinci?
The Chimes of Da Vinci is an indoor team building event from Seriously Cool Events, inspired by the inventions of Leonardo da Vinci. Teams solve a series of puzzles to earn their blueprints, build their own section of a set of giant wooden chimes, then come together for a finale where the chimes ring out as one. It runs for 8 to 40 people in one to two hours, at your office or venue anywhere in the UK.
Why is it such good problem solving team building?
Every stage needs a different kind of thinking. Teams have to plan before they act, share what they know and check the work of the others, and nobody can finish without the rest of the group, so everyone learns to solve problems together rather than alone.
How many people can take part?
The Chimes of Da Vinci is team building for small groups, and works best for 8 to 40 people. For larger groups, The Big Picture and our drumming events work for hundreds, and we are happy to suggest the right fit.
How long does it take?
One to two hours, depending on your numbers and how much time your agenda allows.
Where can it run?
Anywhere with clear floor space for teams to build, such as your office, a meeting room, a conference hotel or a private venue. It works outdoors too on a fine day. We bring everything and set it up for you, anywhere in the UK, and we can find you a venue free of charge.
Do we need any special skills?
None at all. There are puzzles to solve, things to build and plenty to organise, so puzzlers, makers and natural organisers all have a part to play.
Is it competitive or collaborative?
Both. Teams race through the challenges, but no team can finish the chimes alone, so the event ends with everyone celebrating as one team.
Is it good for leadership teams?
Yes. Because no team can succeed alone, it shows in a light hearted way how much results depend on communication, trust and working across teams, which makes for a great conversation afterwards.
Can it run alongside a conference or meeting?
Yes. At one to two hours it fits neatly into a conference agenda, after lunch or at the end of the day, and it sets up in a breakout room or the main room.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your numbers, venue and date. Tell us your plans and we will send a clear, itemised quote within 24 hours, with no obligation.
