Windsor
This esteemed red brick mansion was built in 1705 as the home of the famous Sir Robert Walpole and his daughter Lady Mary whose husband, Charles Churchill, who was a great relative of Sir Winston Churchill. The building was first named 'The Oaks' for many years before changing its name to the 'Little Paddocks' at the turn of the 20th century. It was owned by Sir James Horlick, the inventor of the well known malted hot milk drink, Horlicks; he turned the property into a school for the blind until 1971 when a European family called the Hoffman family renovated the property and turned it into a hotel. They owned it until 2011 when the current managers Exclusive Hotels purchased the property and turned it into the venue it is today!
