No other class requires a race crew of 30 plus experienced sailors to manage more than 10,000 square feet of sail at 16 knots around the race course!
The magnificent J Class Regatta is about the power and glory of sailing and one of the most visually stunning classes ever to be witnessed on the water! From the 18th - 21st July 2012 the spectacular J Class Regatta will be coming to Southampton and the Solent, where the programme expects to see perhaps up to seven of the magnificent J Class yachts racing around the cans to provide the most exhilarating close quartered racing. No one has ever seen more than four of these classic sailing yachts together before and that was in the 1930s!
With five yachts already confirmed to race at this fabulous spectator and hospitality event you will be assured memories will be shared and never forgotten!

The One Hundred Guinea Cup Race |
Sometimes it really is worth pushing the boat out! And the J Class Regatta is certainly the event to be seen at in 2012! 162 years on from the first race in August 1851 the One Hundred Guinea Cup truly captures the true spirit of the J Class. The race is over the original 75 NM course, clockwise around the Isle of Wight. The start will be on the Royal Yacht Squadron line on the morning of the 21st July and will most certainly be an amazing opportunity to see these glorious yachts.
