Dude Day Western Horse Riding

Head back to the Wild West and ride the range in the New Forest!
Western riding is an easy, relaxing and more secure way of riding than the traditional English style. The cowboys of the old west had to spend hours a day in the saddle so they sure as hell made sure that the saddle was as comfortable as possible!

Western style is a beautiful way to take in the splendour of the New Forest all year round. Our paint and Appaloosa horses in full western turnout are a stunning sight as the trail rides cross open plains, wooded enclosures and rippling streams. Ride across the open heath land where the wild New forest ponies roam, then through the enclosures where you may be lucky to see other New Forest inhabitants including Wild Deer.


Western Trails are ideal for mixed ability groups and participants need never have ridden a horse before. All trails are conducted at walk and jog paces only.

2 HOUR TRAILS

Mount up and ride western style though the beautiful New Forest. This two hour trail on horse back will show you the ancient New Forest in the best possible way! Novices or experienced riders alike you will enjoy every minute of this relaxed way of riding. At the end of your western trail you will come back to the ranch for a Cowboy BBQ!

 

4 HOUR TRAILS

A fabulous Dude trail with up to four hours in the saddle! Guests will mount up at about 1000hrs and ride for two hours to Wilverley Enclosure where they will tether the horses and have a cowboy BBQ lunch with soft drinks.
After lunch ‘Dudes’ jump back on board their new friends and continue for a further two hour trail back to the ranch.

After four hours of spectacular riding through the New Forest you will enjoy plenty of hot coffee and doughnuts back at the ranch!

Alternatively Dudes can choose to have their BBQ lunch back at the ranch.

BBQ includes: Steak, Chicken, Salads, Breads and the cowboy special - Boston Beans!

The Western Horse Riding is based in the heart of the New Forest National Park and very close to hotels you may use for your next corporate away event and meeting. Our Dude rides are ideal for meeting breakouts and half day team building events.

NOTE: There is a weight restriction for this event of 16 stone.

For groups over 12 we provide you with Archery or a mountain bike treasure hunt event to combine with the western horse riding. Groups switch over after a ranch cowboy lunch!
